Artist Ben Alden in his studio 
Benjamin Alden (b. 1989) is a figurative painter based in Norwich, UK. Within Ben's creative practice, he explores the emotional architecture of the everyday: the houses we live in, the rooms we move through, and the quiet spaces where life unfolds unnoticed.

It is within these spaces that his paintings examine the human condition, not through grand imagery, but through small moments that carry a quiet significance. Interiors, in particular, become charged environments, places where stillness and symbolism coexist, emotionally loaded yet visually calm, imbued with a sense of unease. 

It is this subtle strangeness of contemporary life that fascinates him, and how familiar spaces can serve as backdrops for psychological storytelling, tension, and memory. Through his paintings, he present a portrait of modern life steeped in estrangement, routine, and longing.
